But then it occurs to me that if I were to ever be kidnapped suddenly and taken for ransom, no one would believe it until my scheduled posts ran out.

Scheduled blog posts as an emergency alert dead-man's switch. Every day you need to log in & delay the schedule publication time of your "Help! Something's Gone Horribly Wrong" post by an additional 24 hours.
