@JustinMac84 @Black_Flag I remember borrowing BBC Radiophonics Workshop LPs from the local library. Geeky pleasures 🙂

@spazahedron @Black_Flag I only ever got my hands on one, possibly two, both Doctor Who. Would have liked to check out more.

@JustinMac84 @xogium @pixelate I don't know if I'm alone in this but the "Tenth Planet" Cybermen are my favorites. Their voices had that combination of somewhat human-sounding with that odd, old time computer voice inflection that, to me, made them sound so frightening. The 1980s Cybermen did not sound emotionless to me. They sounded either angry, disgusted or like they were enjoying themselves. The new Cybermen sound like they're talking through a roll of toilet paper. The Nicholas Briggs Dalek voices, to me, are the best. They are menacing and absolutely frightening. Briggs has Dalek psychology down to a science.

@DavidGoldfield @xogium @JustinMac84 Ugh yes, and Spare Parts! You gotta listen to Spare Parts! It's on Apple Music, Spotify, all that. Just don't listen to it at night or you'll be awake the rest of the night.

@pixelate @xogium @JustinMac84 I loved Spare Parts. I only heard that once but that's one story I'd be happy to replay. They did a great job in showing the humanity of the Mondasians, which made their conversion even more tragic.

@pixelate @JustinMac84 @xogium I don't remember her, as I haven't heard that story since it came out. It was quite good.

@pixelate Right now, I'm replaying the 8th Doctor Time War series. I want to get the newer ones but before I do I want to replay what's happened. I forgot how good they were.

@cublanco @pixelate Yep, Time War is up to their eighth boxed set, at least with the 8th Doctor. There are others, such as the War Doctor and Gallifrey.

@pixelate @DavidGoldfield @xogium Goodness I can't remember names for hardly any one-story characters. They all go in one ear and out the other, unless they're especially bad ass. Take the dad. I don't remember his name, but I can picture his voice clearly and know the actor who played him, Paul Copply.
