#WritersCoffeeClub 2/28. How well did this (_short!_) month go for you, in terms of writing?Well, I _did_ manage to make some progress on "Old Goatfoot", my book on Devil-tales from German folklore. Not nearly as much as I wanted, but "some progress" is better than "none".

#WritersCoffeeClub 27/2: Do you edit while you write? What are the pros and cons?I can't not. I can't move forward if the words behind me aren't right.Cons: writing much slower, wasting time on sections I might cut or redo.Pros: clean copy, accepting this is my way lets me get on with writing.

#WritersCoffeeClub 2/27. Do you edit while you write? What are the pros and cons?Always. I can't start work without reviewing what I wrote the day before and tweaking it. I can't even move on to the next paragraph until the one I've just written works properly and everything that belongs there is in place. My first drafts are more like someone else's 2nd to 4th draft. (Many of my "first drafts" ended up in print with minimal changes.)

#WritersCoffeeClub#WCCFebruary 26: Does your current WIP have an antagonist? Why or why not?My last work did not have an antagonist, so I feel like I owe my readers one. Maybe more than one. However, it probably won't be who they think it is. #Writing #WritingCommunity

@anderlandbooks That's the way it should be, IMO. Cardboard cut-out villains rarely make for interesting stories. Now if there's an internal logic to what they're doing, that can make them interesting.#WritersCoffeeClub #FridaOfHamelin

#WritersCoffeeClub 26/2: Does your current WIP have an antagonist? Why or why not?My WIP is all about THE most iconic antagonist of all time - the Devil himself, and how he is presented in German folk tales.

#WritersCoffeeClub 3.26 — How much of a break or hiatus do you take between works? It depends. It's usually a break that takes place due to circumstances I have no control over, things going on in my life, with family, my mental health, etc. These things can't be helped. It's never a set amount of time, and it's always different whenever it happens. The muse always returns, though.#WritingCommunity #WritersOfMastodon
