Has it been a week already? Seems like we just posted our first VOD on SOMA and we're already on the second.There are two main plot points that really drive home the themes and philosophical questions this game asks the player, the big twist at the end, and the foreshadowing that we come across when we need to descend into the abyss. It's these two points in the story that have stuck with me for as long as I've known of this game, and why even though I knew they were coming before streaming the game myself, I still wanted to experience them myself and give my commentary on them.They resonate within me so deeply and harmoniously, they've practically shaped how I process the world around me and resolve questions surrounding such existential posits. Thoughts on teleportation, digital consciousness and the human condition being uploaded versus stream of contiguous input; having to come to grips with the fact that even if it were possible, the coin flip of whether YOU are the one to cross that gap or not has forced me to come to terms with such finality.Seriously, this game asks so many deep and profound questions of the player, and only one or two of them are directly forced upon you. The rest are told through exploration and lore, and are definitely worth digging into!
