The US government is secretly developing one of the largest surveillance systems in American history — a mega-database merging information from dozens of federal agencies to create "360-degree profiles" of immigrants. The DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) program integrates data from Homeland Security, Social Security Administration, and the IRS. What's being collected includes immigration status, employment records, tax filings, biometric data, and potentially social media monitoring.Privacy experts warn this could become the most comprehensive surveillance tool ever created by the US government. The Electronic Frontier Foundation calls it "a dangerous expansion of government surveillance threatening the privacy rights of millions."Five key risks:No transparency about what data is collected or how it will be usedMission creep — systems built for immigrants inevitably expand to other populationsInadequate privacy protections and independent oversightData breach risk from concentrating sensitive information in one systemDiscriminatory potential for profiling based on ethnicity or national originThis program follows a global trend toward digital authoritarianism. China's social credit system, Russia's "Sovereign Internet" — now America's version. Tools built for "protection" become tools of control.https://newsgroup.site/doge-immigrant-surveillance-database-usa-2026/ #Surveillance #Privacy #DOGE #CivilRights #DataPrivacy #DigitalRights

Strong recommend to see this new BBC documentary Inside The Rage Machinehttps://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002sw4zIt shows you, in less than an hour, how big tech deliberately farms rage, to boost "engagement", to boost advertising $.One of those programs that, if everyone saw it, the world would be a better place.Find alternatives to #bigtech here:https://www.rebeltechalliance.org/stopusingbigtech.html#privacy #surveillance #insidetheragemachine

It just hit me. I was always wondering how is it, I don’t have social media from big tech corpo, but somehow, for example meta, always has my current phone number…it hit me, one of my friends texted me on iMessage (to my phone number) that I need WhatsApp…she has my phone number and syncs the address book with meta, with my name, phone number and address…how is this legal? It’s not her fault, it’s the corporation aggressively, crawling, everyone’s phone via their apps to obtain personal identifiable information on everyone #eu #privacy #security #phones #whatsapp #signal

A rogue AI led to a serious security incident at Meta「 An employee then acted on the AI’s advice, which “provided inaccurate information” that led to a “SEV1” level security incident, the second-highest severity rating Meta uses. The incident temporarily allowed employees to access sensitive data they were not authorized to view, but the issue has since been resolved. 」 https://www.theverge.com/ai-artificial-intelligence/897528/meta-rogue-ai-agent-security-incident#meta #ai #privacy

Identity protection provider Aura was recently breached, exposing 900,000 customer records. The irony of a service meant to prevent identity theft failing to secure its own database is a textbook example of the risks of data centralization.Centralized "security" companies become high-value targets for hackers. Switching to open-source tools helps mitigate these risks.Full story: https://bit.ly/aura-brch #privacy #opensource
