As a child of immigrants, my folks always made sure we had poppies for Nov. 11 Remembrance Day. They fall off, so when crotchety old white men like #DonCherry only see #POC not wearing poppies & b*tch about it, it comes off like an bigoted attack on people who don't look like him or who he thinks are "Canadian".My family & I also #vote in every election, which is an act that actually honours service members & vets versus pinning some small plastic to your clothes.#rant
