The next #LightningTalk at #OggCamp was about Self-hosted Observability, using various #Grafana projects and #Prometheus etc.Alan was using some #YAML files to provision the services via docker etc.I didn't quite understand it all, but there's a few extra Grafana products I should check out - Alloy and Mimir.https://github.com/alanionita/observability-stack#selfhosting #metrics

Just heard an interesting talk about #BioPlastics by alex@alexmakes.net at #OggCamp.Alex was trying to make plastics from various materials at the Manchester HackSpace.He was mostly using a material called Kylozin, which can make a substance called "Nacre", which has potential as a plastic replacement.His end goal is to make an I-beam from the stuff.#LightningTalks
