The only time that we have ever taken initiative and alerted local authorities is when someone was posting credible suicidal messages to mstdn.ca, reported to us by community members, and we were able to determine that they were posting from a provincial health authority's network, to which we reported the concern.This was not at all the same person.This was approved by a former, founding moderator with expertise in the area.
