@RachelThornSub I was married to a classicist for 20 years, so had some exposure to linguistics that way. I think many linguists are all about the grammar, vocabulary, history, function, etc. of language, and personal fluency in a given language (some linguists know several) is sometimes not very high on the list of priorities.

@transitionalaspect Pasting the wrong cover letter into an application form is probably a common mistake for applicants who have a folder full of variations on the same CV & letter.But yeah, hmmm, that is an interesting combination of potential jobs that this person is considering. But I'm told it is getting to be a desperate job market...

@drahardja Every one of her episodes gives new information to absorb, and it's presented in such an engaging way.And I still appreciate that she has bright red lips against white teeth with framing cool earrings, and she carefully enunciates. This helps us that need to lip read.
