I'm not sure how to describe the android based email client I'm looking for well enough to find it on my own.Is there an #android based #email client under can store email locally is an #encrypted message store; that supported #POP3; that allows disabling automatic new mail checking; that does not have ads; that's either paid or the #developer has a ko-fi (or similar) page?I don't want to use Thunderbird or BetterBird on my phone due to trust issues I have with them.

@cslinuxboy @thenewoil Every company in existence has to obey the laws of the countries they operate in, including responding to court orders. This is one reason Signal built their protocol to retain as little metadata as possible, so that when they receive subpoenas, they have nothing useful to provide in the first place. Proton however PGP encrypts your email inbox. That doesn't mean the police can't demand other information from them, or read the other person's copy of any emails you sent.

@NewtonMark perdonally, if I had the money & time.to setup my own #eMail privder as a business, I'd literally setup pne.that not only doesn't allow non-#E2EE - encrypted eMail but also blocks compromized providers and auto-replies details on why!

Vorteile: Man muss nichts umstellen/umkonfigurieren und es ist auch nutzbar, wenn mehrere Personen / Postfächer eine Domäne nutzen.Beispiel:vorname.nachname@meinedomain.tld ist Deine Standard Emailadresse.Alle Emails an vorname.nachname+irgendwas@meinedomain.tld (z.B.vorname.nachname+ebay@meinedomain.tld) werden automatisch an das Postfach geleitet, man muss dafür nichts anpassen.

@ryan I don’t use mailcow but I believe it uses rspamd internally, which is what I use.I have had good success with it. It seems to be about as effective as anything else I’ve found out there, including the commercial offerings from google/outlook/fastmail/etc.
