#FungiFriday Brazilian study used small amounts of Amazonian dark earth (ADE) in forest restoration and found it supercharged tree growth. In land that had been worn down by deforestation, pasture use, and poor soil management, the ADE was found to enable faster beneficial fungal growth which enriched the tree rhizosphere. Fungi turned out to be more important for establishment than other soil components.
