    @Sanderde Mark Carney presents a polished, reasonable, intelligent image, all things that liberal Canadians like, but his politics are almost as far right as Stephen Harper's were when he was PM.Canada is as much a victim of duopoly politics as the US, and as we've seen south of the border, neoliberal duopolies inexorably move further and further to the right. Robust public services and a social safety net are not compatible with right-wing economic policy. This has been the great failure of neoliberalism. If we want things like health care, education, and infrastructure to work properly, it will cost more public money than Mark Carney is willing to spend, and that will hurt Canadians deeply in the long run. Sadly the alternative for the moment is even worse.
