There was another part where the author said the FMC "licked his throat" and I had to do a double take. I realised she meant neck. Throat is a bit... internal...

@hannaB So I was listening to the audiobook of Mort before and I missed parts of it due to lack of attention span. I'm now re-reading the book, especially the parts where I have gaps and the story is a lot more cohesive.I would say Colour of Magic is far less cohesive. Magic really had chapters that felt like a rough draft, whereas there is an overall story going on in Mort.

I finished Flowers for Algernon yesterday. Great book! Highly recommend it!It had a bit in it where Charlie has PKU, and I thought that was interesting, but a lot of it was medical mumbo jumbo that was quite unrealistic to PKU (except for faulty enzymes though).Still, a great book. 4.5/5#book #books #booksky #bookstodon #reading #readingcommunity
