The final photo (for now at least) from my recent trip to Japan. In the town of Uji is the historic Byodo-in Temple, a Japanese national treasure. The temple was built in 1053 and houses a Buddha statue from that era. The building is so treasured, that it appears on the 10 yen coin. The temple and its gardens are so beautiful. I liked the framing of the temple between the trees with the reflection in the water below. Doorsday. Cellar doors at Kungsholmen. I stood there wondering why they aren't the same breadth. And also if the lead to different parts of the cellar; is there a wall to separate the areas on the other side of doors or do they simply end up in the same room? One of my favourite abandoned Italian villas, I have been lucky enough to explore this several times of the years.The interior remains breathtaking despite its decades of standing derelict.
