@dansup It's the parent's responsibility to not let kids use social media. If a parent wants their kid to use social media, then no one has the right to interfere. It's about freedom. Nonetheless, If a kid is educated enough to use social media, then let that be. Hell, they even taught us in elementary school how social media works, and it was a powerful tool for me as a kid. Kids aren't as dumb as adults want them to be.

@mwl It’s not a thing anymore on remotely modern drives. There isn’t really a fastest part of a drive anymore.Data locality (i.e, arranging related data on sequential tracks to reduce seek distance) can still be a thing, but it’s mostly not worthwhile on multitasking systems. It’s too easy for the OS to stick some other I/O operation into your carefully planned sequence, thereby throwing off your minimal seeks.

I'm really enjoying NodeBB. For me it's like a nice alternative to Mastodon's Bookmarks feature. Instead of having posts I want saved in some long list, I can easily sort in NodeBB by the categories on my board when I add the posts.It also works as a nice alternative to lists for Mastodon. Mastodon only allows accounts added to lists if you already follow them. So with NodeBB, I can subscribe categories to accounts then use those as my lists instead.Love it.#nodebb #fediverse #mastodon
