The next version of NodeBB (v4.10.0) will ship with the ability to set alt-text with images <img class="not-responsive emoji" src="https://activitypub.space/assets/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/270d.png?v=ea6b9a25659" title="" /> While this was already natively supported in-site, the alt text wasn't federated out until now. Right now, when you cross-post something to your forum, it is represented by the "clone" icon, or two overlapping squares. I'm really enjoying NodeBB. For me it's like a nice alternative to Mastodon's Bookmarks feature. Instead of having posts I want saved in some long list, I can easily sort in NodeBB by the categories on my board when I add the posts.It also works as a nice alternative to lists for Mastodon. Mastodon only allows accounts added to lists if you already follow them. So with NodeBB, I can subscribe categories to accounts then use those as my lists instead.Love it.#nodebb #fediverse #mastodon

@julian@activitypub.space Got everything figured out! There were some permissions issues that needed sorted out on the host machine, and I rebuilt nodebb to ensure everything wrote to the container space with proper permissions and successfully. Looks like federation is working just fine on my board now!
