A new day. A new chance to succeed.

Very little on the docket. I have time to sit. To try to quiet my mind.

I'm not often successful but I keep trying. Sometimes it works. That's enough encouragement to continue.

I sit very still and close my eyes, listening to the quiet sounds. Trying to ignore the sounds inside my ears. Hearing the various fans and motors of modern life.

Grateful for their comforting hums. Knowing it won't last.
