From today's bike ride and lunch:

    1. We decided to do a quick mental reset ride at noon. And it worked. The weather was lovely, sunny and warm with only a light wind.

    2. I found some lovely things to photograph on that ride.

First image shows the side of part of the path through the woods that leads from just below our house. It's rained quite a bit over the past few days, leaving boggy areas on and around the path.

It seems that children (little vandals) have been ripping up dandelions and throwing them in the water. But the effect was a little Andy Goldsworthy which is what caught my eye. I love the contrast of the bright yellow flowers and the warm peaty tones of the ground under the blue water.

The second image was taken along a country road we like to take as there's not usually much traffic and there's a farm with lots of black cats that hang around in the yard and on the deck of The farmhouse. We always have to go by and see how many cats are outside. Even if it's not on our way!

The trunk of this tree has been attacked by a bird vandal (pileated woodpecker), but that's okay. He has to live. There must have been so much to eat in that trunk!

    3. I made a delicious lunch of vegan halloumi, air fried parsnips, rice and an onion, garlic, mushroom, spinach and Bok Choy dish with a yogurt and lemon sauce we both enjoyed which I'll post a separate photo of. Then Steven made me a coffee to have with our little superfood bites (from a previous posting). Perfect.

Now he's out finishing the stereo cabinet he's making us in figured maple and I'm about to clear up my kitchen.

    Have a good Tuesday, friends.
