@fesshole much as I love cats, I suspect they are right wing arseholes. Dogs OTOH are used to working in a pack and probably are quite left leaning, although likely to be very tribal, so are probably nationalist arseholes.

Rest easy, then, because it can't do that any more than a human can.

It can pretend to speak for your cat, but it's only pretending. It has no actual insight into what's going on in your cat's mind. It'd need to get your cat into an fMRI machine just to scratch the surface, and those things are massive and incredibly expensive.
