Like wtf?!? Do those people not have gears? Just came back from a ride with an average cadence of 56 and 23,6 km/h, and doubling those seems insane (though adding 20% wouldn't be bad).
Does anybody else have strong opinions about cadence? Or perhaps #lawn care or #couches or other important topics? -

You could give it a try and measure your times using a high and a low gear e.g. climbing a hill.

I'm in the Netherlands, so climbing a hill is not really an option
I've seen some recommendations for sort-of interval training in difference cadence bands. Might give that a try.
