@LilahTovMoon Cyberjunk

@LilahTovMoon The "I bought this for my business to make a statement, then realized how impractical it actually is, but refuse to stop making my statement. So now my statement is 'this is terrible and I know it.'"
@ehurtley @LilahTovMoon and that thing is mounted to... some of the plastic trim? Just glued on there, to body panels that are glued on?
The canopy seems functional, but no way in hell I'm driving behind this if theres a ladder on top.

@LilahTovMoon All this to get less cargo space than a Kei Truck

@LilahTovMoon Well but on the other hand this one at least looks usable...

@LilahTovMoon dang, definitely gives the electric car they built on Top Gear a run for its money!

@LilahTovMoon i don't know. I'm kinda impressed. sure, I don't know why you'd buy a cybertruck, but the diy topper makes me less likely to hate the person driving it? seems practical, at least. and like it's used for work.
@cathos @LilahTovMoon appears to make this vehcicle more dangerous to everyone else on the road.

@unlofl @LilahTovMoon IncElCamino has mount points for crossbars, I'm HOPING this chad used those mount points for the canopy.

@LilahTovMoon Honestly, it’s an improvement.
-
@xgranade My guess would be to create slightly more vertical space. The stock bed slopes to nearly zero wall at the rear, affording pretty limited vertical space, unless you just pile stuff up, but also little wall to retain any of it. This mod creates an enclosed (and reasonably securable) area that's otherwise just open exterior space.

@Lunaphied @wesdym Right, at which point, I have to ask.... why get a cybertruck in the first place instead of a real truck? It's not like they're more expensive?

I thought it made it look better.@johntinker I would expect it to be humanizing, but it somehow seems even more alien looking to me.

@LilahTovMoon Dude picked it up at auction for cheaper than a clapped out F150 after the dealer couldn't afford to keep it on the lot anymore

@LilahTovMoon this makes me think of the stupid vehicle mode they made for Rodimus Prime in the original Transformers movie.
you take that back!!!!
