@evan Khomeini died in 1989, but Ali Khamenei, whose name sounds similar to Westerners, was reported killed on Feb. 28.

@evan Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini died in 1989 and was succeeded by Ayatollah Ali Khomeini. Ali Khomeini has been confirmed by Iran as being killed during the February 28th airstrikes.
