Since I read the info on the verification process, supposedly fully on device, and user name options (real or something else) for now I tend to give it the benefit of doubt. It might even reduce malicious fake accounts. -

In designing my own #cloud services I quickly came to a simple yet powerful conclusion: if you model the infrastructure around personal freedom and digital sovereignty you don’t even need ID verification. You cryptographically own your identity, period.

For some reason, when applying for beta access, they ask you for your residency (only country). You don't need that fuck that shit.
