    #Telus is a #Canadian company

    Stolen Data including - "...FBI background check information and source code spanning multiple business divisions within the business services and telecommunications company"

    Did every employee give permission or know that the US FBI was the source for "background checks" in this #Canadian Company?!

    Personally, as a Canadian, I would not want a file created with my personal data at the FBI 🤬

      @jnow @markjcarney
      A better question would be to ask where this data is being stored. Most likely it's on a US server, or cloud storage (there are NO Canadian ones). So as long as it's on a US server, expect any US agency to 'check' it whenever they wish to - and they don't need our permission. This is why we need Canada-based servers.

        @jnow What I don’t know about this incident is whether this is Telus TELUS or Telus Digital.

        Telus Digital is Telus’ IT outsourcing subsidiary for other businesses. So if it’s that, it’s possible that it’s for one or more of their United Statesian customers.

        If it’s TELUS, then what the actual fuck!
