I've got a couple of candidates:
* the new Dutch spelling of 1995 that I still disagree with
* Raider being renamed to Twix (1991?)
* Dutch primary school being renamed from "lagere (lower) school" to "basisschool", merged with kindergarten, going from group 1 to 8 (ages 4 to 12) instead of class 1 to 6 (ages 6 to 12) before. 1986, when I went from class 5 to group 8.

Nobody sells boxed computer software anymore, but those boxes that are sized like a thick DVD case (roughly 15x20x3cm) are โthe small onesโ compared to the old boxes (roughly 21x25x5cm)

@ZachWeinersmith Continuous welded railway tracks instead of the old clank-clank ones.
