    Yeah... I got Windows NT 4.0 running with Service Pack 6a incl. drivers and all the latest updates from 1999 and even managed to install a few games: Windows Entertainment Pack, SimCity Classic and Age of Empires II. This is quite nice! Although I remember from back in the day that NT 4.0 only supported a very limited selection of games. That's why I always used it as part of a dual-boot setup with Windows 9x.

I got Windows NT 4.0 running with Service Pack 6a incl. drivers and all the latest updates from 1999 and even managed to install a few games: Windows Entertainment Pack, SimCity Classic and Age of Empires II. This is quite nice! Although I remember from back in the day that NT 4.0 only supported a very limited selection of games. That's why I always used it as part of a dual-boot setup with Windows 9x.

      @dfx same here. It felt sooo much more stable than windows 98 back then - but no full modern (in late late 90s) direct X support…
      I don’t remember which one but one of the lan games back then did work. Starcraft perhaps?

          the hal.dll (Hardware Abstraction Layer) or was it HAL9000?
