    @caseyliss it’s really annoying for us strange people who use feed readers in the modern era, but I’ve always assumed it’s something that’s done for gaming search traffic.

      @caseyliss I find the regular “here’s the speculation about when X might happen” posts to be more irritating, honestly.

        @caseyliss Indeed, you think the little red update dots on our devices we can't dismiss would be enough! 😉

                      @caseyliss I am so used to it at this point that whenever I see a bunch of Macrumors posts fill up my RSS reader, I think, “ah, all the new OSes dropped and I have to go mark those as read.”

                        @caseyliss I know it's because it's impossible to make money "publishing" for the web as an independent outfit these days, and I sympathize with that, I really do.

                        But my GOD that site sucks so much more to read now than it did 15 years ago.

                              @caseyliss That's so obnoxious.

                              "Apple Releases OS versions 26.3 on all platforms"

                              Fixed it for you, @macrumors

                                @caseyliss My favorite is when Apple releases a single new product but MacRumors manages to stretch it out into over a dozen posts:
