#Spotted on a Rainy Day in Aotearoa New Zealand:
A man (80s?) is about to leave a supermarket as rain pours outside. A checkout operator (50s?) asks if he has an umbrella and when he replies no, she tells him to wait and returns with hers, telling him to bring it back the next time he stops by.
A woman (20s?) is cruising a skate board down a rain drenched footpath. Holding up a colourful umbrella decorated with bunnies and tulips. Stopping under a shopfront overhang to secure her hair in a neat ponytail before continuing on her way.
A rain drenched woman (50s?) steps into a cosy cafe. Dripping water and laughing as she looks over her shoulder at the downpour outside.
A regular calls out: "Looks like you got caught in the worst of it!"
She ruefully replies: "The ONE DAY I leave home without my umbrella and this happens!"A woman (30s?) is cycling down a quiet street during a light drizzle. A bright yellow rain coat on.
A black and white sheepdog loping before her, leading the way. A doggy smile on his face. Two restaurant kitchen staff are huddled under the back eaves of a building. Drinking from chipped coffee mugs, surveying people running too and fro in the rain. Conversation and muted laughter in the air.
Any typos spotted in this post are rather happy to be back home, cosy, warm and writing after venturing out to the shops this morning. If typos spotted, remind them to replace their umbrella. Their current one seems to enjoy turning inside out.
