#Spotted on a Camping Trip in Aotearoa New Zealand:

A group of students on a geology field trip are roaming about an isolated beach.
Some are doing important rock study.
Some are lounging on their backs, snoozing on the sand.
Two are fencing with driftwood. Whooping whenever one gets a point!

A scientist is wading about in some long grass, holding a jar of peanut butter, inspecting boxy animal traps.
An Aussie tourist stops to ask what they're catching and he says: "Mice. It's SO mousey here."*
    "Are you winning though?"
    "I hope so!"

A couple (20s?) with heavy looking hiking packs are sitting at a picnic table around two hours into a walking track. Smooching in between writing in a small notebook. Reminding each other of interesting things they've seen over the course of their morning.

Two big and tall Canadians (30 & 50?) with huge calves and bulging arm muscles and big bushy beards are chilling at a country inn. Pints of beer in front of them. Exchanging rock climbing stories from their travels around the world. Huge sudden booming laughs coming out of nowhere.

A woman (70s?) is strolling down the street in a small, eccentric country town. She's dressed in black lace, a top hat, a handbag shaped like a teapot and pointy black witch boots. A black cane at her side. A playful smile teasing the corners or her mouth as she regards the world around her.

Any typos spotted in this post had a wonderful time on their camping trip last week. If typos spotted, they'll be checking the weather every morning, seeing if they can snatch another few days of good weather to get out in nature again before winter turns up. (Ever optimistic!)

*Mice are an introduced species in Aotearoa and there are numerous programs to cull their numbers so that indigenous species can thrive.

Also, if anyone would like to support the typos on their mission to get out and about, they have a Buy Me a Coffee that is guaranteed not to be mousey. https://buymeacoffee.com/georgepenney

Or if you'd like to read over 500 of these posts, to get bonus posts and stories and to make a very non mousey author boom with happy laughter, the typos also have a rather nice patreon:
