I have a lot of reasons why I delete Instagram. One major reason is safety concern. However, not being on Instagram does not make me truly safe.
The majority of Indonesians are using Instagram, in which the moderation is failing and the homophobia there is so rampant that anyone can be prosecuted, with or without using Instagram when some assholes are on Instagram to prosecute minority who are on or off from the platform.
If you have an Instagram account and still use Instagram, please help report this homophobic profile as it is being used to spread homophobia in Indonesia and to attack Indonesian gay communities as well as to prosecute gay people simply for being gay.

@serigala_tropis I have found that homo/transphobia is also a major issue for the English side of Instagram. Instagram has poor moderation rules, and I imagine the moderation is worse for Indonesia. It's one of the reasons why I ditched the platform. Instagram did not do enough to protect queer folk and prevent users from being targeted
