Secondo il senatore di Fratelli d'Italia Sandro Sisler, "la pessima uscita" di Montanari "è assolutamente da stigmatizzare e condannare". Solidarietà, sempre da FdI, dal senatore Paolo Marcheschi, che parla di "clima d'odio che abbonda sui social e non solo e di cui davvero non si sente il bisogno".
