#Spotted A Little While Ago in Aotearoa New Zealand
A man (70s?) is sitting with his grandson (2?) on his knee. They're reading a book about farm animals and he's relishing doing the piggy noises. Small human is copying in between chortling with glee.
Two men (60s?) are sharing a slice of apple pie. One has a lilting Indian accent, the other a soft American drawl. They're both drinking espresso, sharing stories of their families and talking books and philosophy with a quiet, contented air.
A woman in yoga gear is taking a seat across from her friend who's drinking a cappuccino. She grins and says: "Let me order my coffee first before we get down to some bareknuckle bitching." Her friend laughs: "Yeah. I'm gonna need cake for that too."
A woman (50s?) in a cheerful floral dress is pausing an animated conversation with her friend by announcing loudly: "Bugger! I haven't done my meditation yet! Want to do it with me?" They sit silent for a few minutes, eyes closed before they both start giggling. Animated conversation resumes.
A woman (20s?) in a colourful jumpsuit and over-ear headphones is setting up to work on her laptop. A server brings over a cupcake, a slice of pie and a pot of tea. She lines them up at the table's edge and gets to work. The cupcake is eaten first.
Any typos spotted in this post are a bit under the weather today so they're sharing some moments that many of you may not have read from 2024. Should be back up and running tomorrow, fingers crossed!
@georgepenney
Thanks Hope you feel better. -

@georgepenney Oh noo I do not like to read this. I hope you feel better quick soon and in a hurry. This makes me sad. I love all the people. And you'll never know how funny it was to hear the voice of my #ScreenReader software for the #Blind trying to pronounce bareknuckled. I heard it and was like what kind of word is this I haven't met yet. Then I made it spell character by character and sanity was restored.

@georgepenney I don't comment much because it's not often I have anything interesting to add... but I very much enjoy your little moments of observation and hope you get back up and over the weather very soon.

@georgepenney I hope you will be well again soon. In the meantime, the typos might be glad to hear that my mother Steve was chortling delightedly over her copy of Tiny Joy last night!

@georgepenney Feel better soon, George! In the meantime, much as Iβll miss the new observations, the βreruns" are just as entertaining a second time around.
