How do you see it? Are the relay servers for Fediverse message distribution run purely out of enthusiasm, or is there something more behind them? Help a newbie figure it out

Hi — yes, it’s both interesting and useful for decentralization. I initially thought it all ran purely on enthusiasm (which is about 90% of it), but each relay/server also matters for deciding which information gets broadcast on a larger scale. It’s really useful and fascinating; I’ve already set up a server and created a relay. If you join, I invite you to link our servers and exchange relays — it’ll be valuable if you, like me, stand for truth and usefulness.
