Q1: Hello fellow dishcloths*!

@MakersHour A1 Hello
old friends, new friends and dishcloths. I have been busy this week but not with craft. I have, though, been learning to draw which is fun! I’m also a bit under the weather so I’m trying to take it easy. #MakersHour@Janet_52square @MakersHour I've never managed to stick at learning to draw, so am living vicariously through you lately. Hope you feel better soon!

Attached: 4 images Worked on another railway signal lamp today. This one is dated 1942 and is taller and wider than the others I have. It’s unusual too as it has a square carousel holding the coloured glass. Others have a round carousel. It was mainly a clean up job with some polishing of the brass bits, some soldering to repair part of the carousel and some rust treatment. Oh, I also replaced the orange glass as it had a chunk missing. I happened to have some orange glass in my spares box, so I just had to cut that down by about 5mm. #MakersHour #restoration #railway

@grajohnt @MakersHour semi-random is cool. I am on mostly-random but hoping to reduce randomness shortly…
@Janet_52square @MakersHour I have that ambition, but as it's 3pm here (but normally 2pm because were in the 'twilight zone' between time changes), it's always a busy time.
Plans always spoil my good intentions.

A1 Been working mostly on fixing the plumbing for the makerspace. By refactoring the existing plumbing, I've managed to make space for a sink for a new pottery area.
@quixoticgeek @MakersHour pottery peeps will love the sink!! Pretty much essential for them.
-
@MakersHour hello #MakersHour! Another semi-random afternoon appearance for me.
A1: This week, I've been making a new PCB design for #emfcamp, which I have finalized and sent off for fab along with a couple other boards I'm reordering.
And lots of other making projects that are creaking along. Hopefully some will move faster now that this task is cleared.
It's a ticking clock here to do outside projects before it gets scorching hot.

@grajohnt
Oh those designs look really good. -
Hello all. What have I been doing this week? I've been so busy I can't remember...
I baked a cake or two, did more clearing out of stuff, and did a lot of peopling. It's been fun, but I'd like to stop for a bit please.
@suearcher @MakersHour Ugh, peopling! Sounds like you both deserve a break tbh
-
@suearcher @MakersHour Sounds busy! I have had to stop … never easy for me!
Yeah, enforced stopping isn't so much fun. I hope you feel better soon.
But hey - you have walls!

@MakersHour and a huge thanks to @jarkman for the inspiration on the silkscreen graphics, so I could get the board to the point where I could convince myself to order it.

https://cupoftea.social/@MakersHour/116257639087292428@MakersHour hi, Maaike here. This week I've been doing largely the same as last week: stitching on my biro shirt for the 100 day project, knitting a sock (still the same sock). I also did a little weaving project for my textile art challenge, and some light embroidery.
By the way, in Dutch there's an expression 'weak as a dishcloth' for feeling under the weather, so this seems like a very appropriate term of endearment for some makers this week
I hope you all feel better soon!

@Janet_52square @MakersHour Yep, we're looking forward to the improvement in capabilities. This weekend I need to build the settling tank to go under the sink.

The peopling was all pleasant, I must add. Just a lot of it.
Nothing much planned for the weekend, so hopefully we'll just get on with clearing, and have a bit of down time.

Diolch cariad.

@suearcher @MakersHour Walls are underrated. So many people just lean on them or take them for granted. Not round here, we celebrate them!

I have heard that socks take a lot of work and effort, so not surprised you are still on the same sock. -
