@janamarie do you like that RJ45 socket? I’ve been looking for an SMD vertical one recently, but was put off by the all plastic ones (solely based on vibes)

(eventually settled for a mostly SMD metal option)

@ErinRose no, not really, but I also don't dislike it. I wouldn't reuse it

I got this board assembled from JLCPCB, but a lot of components are still missing. This is mostly due to this board being one of the very early boards running through their PCBA process! I actually wrote on their blog about how the PCBA process works at the time, they allowed me to test it very early :3

two lovely beings recently started working on the firmware again, we now have a bare Debian Linux running on it, 'just' missing the image sensor driver and the mipi to encoder to USB/Ethernet stream pipeline… how ward can it be, right? 😄 we have been working on this since *checks the note on the pcb* 2021.. 😅

two of them! The second one was more nasty to solder, I was still faster, but it wouldn’t want to boot the first two tries

I think they are super cute, so small and they boot linux! The boards are just 50x50mm, you can make this a whole lot smaller of course, the OtterCastAudioV2 was smaller, but still.. :3
