    @kithrup @gvwilson what I heard is 2 problems: caching, naming things, and off-by-one errors

      @gvwilson IIRC the computer contradictionary identifies the two hard problems as naming, cache invalidation, and off-by-one errors?

          @gvwilson There are two hard problems in computer science and infinite hard problems in computer practice. (Most of them have a username or three.)

            @fabiosantoscode @gvwilson That's one of the jokes, yes. 😄 One of my favorites for that matter.

              @gvwilson the best term I heard for this was when IT called out sometimes they'd come back and say "that job was a Picnic"

              "Problem In Chair Not in Computer"

                    @gvwilson Dark Joke:

                    The third hard problem is automobile safety.

                    (Sadly, Phil Karlton and his wife were killed in a car accident.)

                    @raganwald @gvwilson

                    All of this are Layer 10-12 problems, mostly. Some Layer 9.

                      @vampirdaddy @nomenloony @gvwilson Error 40
                      The source of the error is 40 centimeters from the screen. It rolls off the tongue in my language. Not so much in this one.

                        @gvwilson Was that aimed at a person or an idea? I could see it easily fitting with both.
