@alice what I have learned that commercially driven entities no matter what are initial settings will lean towards greed, unless explicitly said otherwise.
Thus there can be no loyalty to something that is not a person and will change accordingly by the rules of greed and entity itself.
Greed simply generates vacuum of responsibility and empathy within organisation, and justifies and amplifies worst instincts of people of sociopathic nature.
Only exception is self organised workforce.

For most people is not the corporation they develop that with - it is with their products. Especially nostalgia.

The brand and type of cookies wr got when visiting our friends/family when we were a kid. The instant noodles that were the only thing people could afford during tough times, and so on.

That all said: if the only thing people can afford is corporation owned, and they need it for survival: do not feel pressured or shamed to change until safe to do so
