A colleague continually drones on about how he has no energy without drinking at least five cups of caffeinated coffee a day.

A colleague continually drones on about how he has no energy without drinking at least five cups of caffeinated coffee a day. The rest of us agreed to only make him decaf and not tell him. It's been three months and he hasn't noticed.

@fesshole no headaches? I went cold turkey on coffee a few months ago and had splittling headaches for two weeks until I gave up and settled on two cups of coffee a day (down from 5-6). Other people reported even worse withdrawal symptoms, such as vomitting.

@fesshole He doesn't know how to make his own coffee?

Or do you just let him think that he's "better" than you because you "serve" him decaf coffee everyday to deceive him. π§
You just can't trust the "help."

@fesshole Or, perhaps, that's why he feels like he needs 5 cups.
