    Middle grandson dropped by to help.
    He got a chance to spend time with my husband. I hear that they might have hatched a plan to go on an adventure when the weather warms up.
    Summer and I jumped on the opportunity to get her out for a good run on the shore of Humboldt Bay.
    While he was here he helped me in the garden and took the food down to fill the free pantry.

      @NorcalGma2

      Summer looks like she took full advantage of the opportunity to romp! It's great that she doesn't mind getting cleaned up after...

      I'm glad your grandson is planning a little escapade with your husband, and hope that when the time comes, they have fun together.

          They are. They spent almost every weekend at our house when they were growing up.
          We are very close.

              I think she likes the warm water to wash up. She doesn't like being without a collar though so I have an extra while her good collar gets washed and dried.

                That's good! It's great that she likes the warm water...

                Kali and Tempi lived most of their lives without collars, but have adapted well to wearing them.

                Tempi doesn't love the harness she wears when we go in the car, but she tolerates it. Her skull is narrow enough that her collar can slip over her head, and I lost a dog for 3 days in 2015 when she slipped her collar on a walk and ran away, chased by another dog who had nipped her.

                  Summer slipped out of her collar once on a walk when she was chased by a very aggressive huge chocolate lab. She ran back to me and got between my legs. The owners of the other dog finally got it under control. It was very strange because I didn't expect aggressive dog behavior to come out of an old overweight lab.
                  That must have been very scary.
                  I am going to call Summer's vet tomorrow. She has some kind of sore near her right ear that clearly hurts. I have been putting dog first aid cream on it but it doesn't seem to be helping. She doesn't scratch it but doesn't want me to touch it either.
                  Hopefully they will get her in soon.
