    Also from yesterday, since it's horizontal rain in a gale, so no walling today. Evidence of life here from 300+ million years ago. I was just breaking this rough bit of stone for infill for middle of the wall.

    If anyone can identify what species of organism produced these beautiful shells, please be my guest. #fossil #paleontology

          @Ivor Your fossils look like brachiopods, organisms with 2 shells, similar to but not closely related to clams. Brachiopods lived in ocean areas with deep calm water. Most became extinct about 600mya but a few species are still around today.
