      @akana sadly i can't get it to boot off an install disk, unless it's a CD/DVD i guess. so i'll have to get some dvds and flash a windows 2000 install medium to it

          yeah it's a super old dell latitude and the battery doesn't work but i got a power supply and it technically boots and it has A PENTIUM 4 so i really wanna run windows 2000 (the software it came with) on it and get quake running

              @akana I found that besides online gaming where lag matters, I don't have a use for an ethernet port in a laptop.

                @Anibyl i always use ethernet at home lol

                faster than wifi and also wont interfere with my radios (it drives me nuts)

                      @akana we have a folding rj45 connector on ours where when it's not being used the locking side folds up
