About mental health, I think we must admit that some forms of dysfunction of the mind and thinking are curable, treatable and other forms are not?
I know there is a kind of taboo about mental health in all countries - some more than others.

@amans Well, we now have a basis for discussion, because I think that there are many brain problems which are not curable, although I agree some errors of thinking or imbalances of chemicals in the brain may be corrected through drugs or talk therapy.

It happens that my work and volunteering brings me in contact with people who have such situations in their lives.
It's not fair how societe thinks.
I know many lovely people who just can't think and work outside of a managed place of living.
I do befriend them.
I also actually work alongside people who live in outpatient psych wards.
These are normal, nice people.
Just with some medical brain issues.
I was not talking about them at the start of our conversation.
I was talking about predator, psychopath, sociopath, greedy bastards like ... fill the blank. You can't fix those with talk therapy or medicines.
Sorry.
I'm getting a bit wound up now thinking about trump, netenyahu, putin and the rest...
I need to get to sleep. It's 23h44.

- "réparer" : est-ce que l'esprit humain se répare ? Qu'est-ce que la guérison ? Le soin ? Le "rétablissement" ? Ces questions sont très difficiles, et je crois que le médecin, a fortiori le psychiatre, qui y répond de façon tranchée oublie que sa discipline tient davantage - ou du moins tout autant - de l'art que de la science

@gemlog oui c'est qu'ils (surtout, & elles parfois) ne veulent pas se soigner vraiment, tant identifié-es à leurs "automatismes de détresse", leurs traumas infantiles, leur classe à tendance oui sociopathe - transhumaniste technophile patriarcale capitaliste et mortifère, surtout.
Mais la Vie parfois est plus forte que tous les conditionnements & déterminismes socio-biologiques de sorte qu'un être qui semblait fatalement voué à crever dans son jus de merde - s'éveille. L'histoire en témoigne. Toujours laisser une chance à l'innocence et à la transformation. Sinon on valide le principe de la peine de mort ou de la prison à vie.../...
