Even Macron (MACRON!) did better:
"French President Emmanuel Macron has called for restraint from both Israel and Hezbollah as displacement rises in Lebanon.
In a statement on X, Macron said France was delivering 60 tonnes of emergency aid to people displaced by the fighting, in coordination with the UN and humanitarian organisations.
He also urged Hezbollah to stop launching attacks from Lebanon against Israel and to hand over its weapons to the Lebanese Armed Forces.
At the same time, Macron said Israel must respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and exercise restraint, adding that Israelis and Lebanese have “the same right to live in peace and security”.
