      What do you wear in your feet when at home around the house ? (Typically over the year, ignoring the coldest or hottest few days).

        Grippy socks! Aka Yoga socks.

        The traction of slippers in lightweight ankle socks.

          Barefoot, like the hillbillies I came from. I also can't stand socks without shoes. Too tight or loose, they never feel right.

                  @alice something is up with this poll. I'm hoping when it ends the results will resolve correctly.

                      Hand knit socks are not "just socks" and are worn from October until May. Bare feet are the choice for May - October

                                @quixoticgeek it's a temperature thing:
                                Barefoot during summer, socks and if needed woolen slippers during the chilly parts of autumn, winter and spring. I'd say its roughly 6 months barefoot and six months something on.

                                  @quixoticgeek Barefooted. If it is cold, then socks. No shoes allowed beyond the entryway.

                                          A system 🥹
                                          I prefer barefoot but I have a pair of fuzzy slippers in the corridor that I slip on for a few minutes when I get cold feet, and a pair of crocks that I slip on when I have to go downstairs (garage, basement, garden, bins) but those *might* be called "shoes"? 🤔
                                          Changing into them is easy when the default is barefoot. The only hitch in the system is that it always leaves them on the floor in the corridor and the cats sometimes puke into them. Secretly.
