Well, the government finally did it, they made me sympathize with the TSA.
That was however, short lived, as was just told that due to a splash of water in my reusable bottle, they’d have to THROW OUT THE BOTTLE, or I’d have to go through the entire security line from the beginning.
So my previous opinions hold. I fucking hate flying in this 2nd world shithole country.

#JFK #TSA #americaTheStupid@forty2 I can only guess it's just a security show with the the most unqualified and power hungry people they could find. I have exactly zero good experiences and you know the expectations are low when "it was less of a shit shit today" is the best one.

@apzpins it’s maddening. I also got dinged for leaving my iPad in, because today, July 26th 2026 in the year of our lord, you can’t do that, even though I’ve previously been barked at to leave it in my bag. I’m sure the confusion is in part by design.
I still can’t believe Isis/alqueda/whatever never tried to purposely get caught with a bomb up their ass so we’d forever have to be subjected to cavity searches anytime we wanted to go anywhere. -

I've seen some good and bad examples how the thing can be handled. The Japanese for example were really polite but firm. Ours is usually okay too, plus they have the modern scanners where you can leave everything in the bags. TSA does not get a gold star in any category.
