this is where parental responsibility comes into the picture.
except in cases of gross incompetence, parents are still in charge of their kids, at least until age 18.
let's not forget all common sense here.
when the parents are as incompetent with tech as the kids, or even more so, then this is a different discussion.

If kids are “like this” today, maybe it's the grown ups that are to blame. Sorry if I’m being harsh but this comment isn’t helping anyone get anything done

@cwebber @FelisCatusDomesticus The youth never had an internet that wasn't corporate oligarch-owned extremist scam garbage. So I totally get it if they don't care. A lot of us olds are nostalgic for an Internet that hasn't existed for a long time.

@KarlHeinzHasliP @FelisCatusDomesticus @cwebber Not just that - computer design today emphasizes hiding how things work. Which gets annoying real fast but also doesn't lend itself to encouraging people to look deeper.
