        Just considering its an opensource project and judging from the reactions on the PR people didn't welcome the change; this is quite the wild phrasing in the end of the article:

        I mean maybe people just didn't even want to have the 'option', without any theories?

        I like the approach e.g.: https://agelesslinux.org/ is taking in that regard.

          @itsfoss you guys lost the plot on this one. It was no place for systemd to do this in the first place regardless of how dumb and harmful the legislation is.
          But actions like this is what legitimises dumb and harmful laws.
