    @zwol@masto.hackers.town agreed on peak truck. Any suggestions for who to look at for new kei style trucks here in the US?

    @unsafelyhotboots @zwol Unfortunately no one makes anything like that for the US, at least nothing that's road legal. You can import them from Japan, I recommend talking to @tikibunnyimports if that's something you'd like more info about.

      @zwol

      I'd love one. How is it for passenger safety? It looks like the cab is the crumple zone.

        @zwol Holy cow, to have that for Costco runs and the occasional helping kids move. Like 99% of suburban dwellers, a full-size pickup would be ridiculous for me. But this? Aw yeah.

                @zwol hmm.
                I think it needs some silver accents. Or maybe a unicorn airbrush painting. But even without, extremely nice!

                      @zwol@masto.hackers.town and the sides of the bed fold down so it can act as a flatbed

                      it's actually more useful than a regular fullsized pickup

                                          @unsafelyhotboots @zwol Many states now allow them on city streets, but not on freeways. You can find them anywhere you can find other vehicles online; autotrader, bring-a-trailer, etc.
                                          Generally, they have to be over 25 yrs old to be imported.
