    HOLY SHIT Y'ALL!

We thought the Wankpanzer was the limit.

It gets DUMBER. And it's too early for April Fool's.

Now granted, this may never actually materialize, like a lot of shit Elon promises.

I just think it's hysterical that he's hinting at this on the dead bird site and there's this evidence he wants to make a cybervan, as if his adoring incel followers have families.

Who's ever seen more than one person in a Cybertruck?

@MaryAustinBooks Even without all the politics and other hysteria around Tesla, they freaking catch on fire all by themselves, frying the people inside. People don't like that in a car.

Yup, one thing I don't miss about Twitter (among man) is the Tesla reply guys who get when you say statistically supported things like that. Remember how they condescendingly tell you that gas cars catch fire too, as if you didn't know that?

Absolutely. I'm sure it will be perfectly safe, people will forget he's a Nazi, and lots of families will want a massively overpriced van that ugly. 😂

@MaryAustinBooks Why would it be a positive to compare a tesla to a pinto?

After a quick news search, yes, and not just one. The articles are distressing so I'll let people google it if they want.

@MaryAustinBooks @timo21 Hey, I loathe Musk and would never own a Tesla, but available data actually does indicate that EVs are less likely to catch fire than gas cars. Current lithium ion EV battery fires ARE much harder to put out than gasoline fires, which is a different but legit concern. Also, Teslas have specific design flaws, like electronic door handles that have been known to keep people from escaping a burning or dangerously damaged car. https://www.forbes.com/sites/neilwinton/2024/04/21/electric-vehicles-not-guilty-of-excess-short-term-fire-risk-charges/

Oh yes, I was talking specifically about Teslas, not EV's in general. Do I want an EV? Oh yes. Do I want an EV made by a guy who thinks safety regulations are for losers? Not so much!

@MaryAustinBooks @timo21 Musk has been careless about safety in many ways, especially "self-driving," but the likelihood of the car catching fire -- as opposed to what happens to you after it does -- doesn't seem to be the real issue.
