@MaryAustinBooks @timo21 Musk has been careless about safety in many ways, especially "self-driving," but the likelihood of the car catching fire -- as opposed to what happens to you after it does -- doesn't seem to be the real issue.

UPDATE: Oh wow. So I was right to be suspicious of the "the protesters have given up," but the SF Gate got it wrong because the protesters' car was broken into and a bunch of their equipment was stolen.
